Responsible for 80 outbound and inbound telesales, 50 BDM’s and 80 retail staff. Recruited to improve all sales and marketing efforts and to establish best practice methodologies. Full P&L & operational responsibility for Consumer and Business call centre’s, outbound call centre, retail operation (18 nationwide stores), Public Sector Sales, Regional Business SME Sales, Solutions Sales, Affinity sales and Trade sales.
Major Achievements: Improved inbound telesales conversion ratios from 12.5% to 60%. Established best sales practice for outbound tele-sales and all requisite materials for new sales campaigns. Consistently reached or exceeded new outbound telesales targets, Implemented new team commission schemes with 360-degree self-administration. Realigned both BDM’s and retail staff from the traditional ‘price/discount sales’ to an ‘added value proposition’. Implemented new HR policies, all training methods, individual and team micro-management, bid and tender processes, improved management structure and new managed services portfolio. Major new sales acquisitions: Lloyd TSB contract yielding £3M in PC and managed services sales annually and £1M managed services contract with Rolls Royce.
Major Achievements in HCi: 200 New HCi clients in first year including LTSB Bank, AXA Insurance, LTSB Asset Finance, Schlumberger, British Chamber of Commerce, BAe Systems, Powys CC and Darlington BC amongst others. Delivered £24M in new business @ 28% GP. Responsible for 18% of the overall company turnover, and 20% of all UK HCI schemes in 2004/5.
