• I ensure that the cyclical decoration and planned maintenance programme is completed on time and within budget. This involves pre-inspection, preparing specifications, obtaining competitive quotes, supervising the work and settling the final account.
• I liaise with mechanical and electrical consulting engineers and contract specialists to oversee all specialist contracts.
• I liaise with and co-ordinate the activities of the DLO and maintenance administrators with regard to day to day maintenance issues.
• I liaise with and monitor the performance of the appointed contractor for the Out-of Hours Emergency Repairs Service.
• I am the lead officer on matters relating to Fire Safety Inspections within the building as required.
• I prepare Schedule of Rates, the Stock Condition Database, the approved stock reinvestment and asset management strategies.
