At THCRC and an autonomous project in Camden (Camden Community Recycling Ltd.), I acted in a variety of roles to manage the provision of a local authority recycling contract. These included developing operational practices, training and managing staff, liaising with clients, liaising with public and private sector housing management, developing and costing new projects, preparing grant applications, developing projects with schools, developing a commercial recycling service and developing relationships with outside organisations.

I assisted Deacons with the development of a commercial composting operation. This included applying for planning permission and an Environment Agency license as well as advising on operational procedures and equipment.

My main role was managing the kerbside collection of recyclables, managing a commercial-scale composting operation and marketing finished compost to the public and landscaping contractors.
