Manager, Web Marketing

London

Responsible for developing the online content and marketing strategy, management of a suite of websites across four content development teams and the implementation of a new brand. Also responsible for line management of a small development team.

•Performed a full content audit across the website offering, ultimately rationalising content and improving user journeys within and between the websites in advance of the rebrand.

•Delivered a project to migrate five websites being maintained and developed by IT functions in Montreal, Milton Keynes and Edinburgh into a core content development team based in Cambridge. Implemented new content management processes for the development team covering online collateral, email marketing and CRM (RightNow). This allowed the IT functions to concentrate on back-end systems development and decreased development lead-times for web changes by around 80%.

•Content - researched, evaluated, negotiated and implemented a new Content Management System for RBS Worldpay re-brand. Mediasurface Morello used to launch a new brand resulting in the consolidation of multiple marketing and technical support websites and at the same time allowing business users to create and edit their own content saving approximately £85,000 per annum in web development costs.

•Strategy and Brand - worked with a leading digital agency to define a 3 year web strategy for the business and deliver a user centred design for the new website (RBSWorldpay.com). The key output was a roadmap of functional developments for the next three years which will differentiate RBS from its direct competitors across its global markets.

•Ran a project to assess quality of output from current package (Omniture SiteCatalyst). The key output was a way to improve analysis and set up management information dashboards to allow easy assessment of KPIs and thus make informed changes to the websites to improve conversion rates.

•Ran a search engine marketing review programme across two key sites to maximise the effect of pay-per-click spend and optimise natural search resulting in an average of saving of £12,000 per month in PPC costs since completion with a positive effect on both rankings and traffic which increased by 15% over the same period.
