 Aylesford Newsprint manufacture newsprint by recycling recovered newspaper and magazines and operate 2 large gas fired co-generation steam and electricity generating plants.  Responsible for a team of 9 people at Lichfield and Team Leader to a global team of 14 engineers, specialising in the development of Acoustic Crack Detection systems and other forms of electronic diagnostic solutions for production use with both formed and sintered metal products manufactured within the GKN group.
 Environmental responsibilities included the successful installation of an EMS compliant to ISO 14001, Legislative Analysis, EIA; the identification of Environmental Aspects, Waste Minimisation, Energy Minimisation, Life Cycle Assessment, Lead Environmental Auditor, Environmental Auditor training, EMS and specific training for employees, management and executive board.
Supervising the Quality Function Deployment within the Heavy Parts section of Lichfield, this covers: APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Control Plan development, DACAD SPC programming, problem solving, customer liaison, supplier quality, internal lead auditor training, and negotiation of service and support contracts.
