· I have had substantial experience of managing the accounting function, implementing sound accounting controls, policies and procedures to enable accurate and consistent production of financial reports
· Considerable experience of producing statutory accounts in accordance with the SORP, including the 2007SORP , and managing the year-end process
· Experience of treasury management, including the efficient and effective cash management through the provision of short and long term cash flow forecasting and reporting
· Have good staff management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team through personal example and hands on involvement
· Have excellent desk top IT skills, as well as a thorough working knowledge of computerised financial accounting systems
· Good communication skills, with the ability to explain complex finance issues to non-finance staff at all levels
