Work with project teams, Planners and Responsible Managers, to produce Lifetime Plan (LTP) cost estimates for each project. Develop and document estimates that comply with current MOD requirements.
Contribute to the development of the plan to ensure that schedule activities enable costs to be captured accurately.
Collect additional supporting information e.g. drawings, quotations etc, to underpin quantities and rates used to produce decommissioning and other estimates. Produce base cost estimates using the Company Work Breakdown Structure
(CWBS) and Programme Summary Work Breakdown Structure (PSWBS).Understand and assign cost uncertainty factors to activities.

Responsible for the ability to control all estimating aspects, to measure, schedule and interpret services detailed within tender documentation. Make sure tenders are produced within timescale, minimise errors contained within tenders, successful selection of profitable tenders. The type of tenders ranged from 100k to11million, this varied on office fit out to Hospitals/Schools.

Responsible for the full involvement in producing accurate prime cost estimates for projects, co-ordinating the tender process, costing plans out and identifying areas of risk/scope and development with the team. Additionally, manage and produce/take off BOQ for use in tender and produce a control document when projects are secured. I also am involved in reviewing proposals with Architects/Designers and selecting/agreeing a sub-contractor enquiry list.

The position is responsible for the overall day to day management of cost planning/estimating for the Company. The type of tenders ranged from 100k to18million, this varied on cleanrooms to MOD & Laboratories, also in bio ethanol & waste to energy plant valued up to 60milliom. Also got involved in numerous Cost Planning exercises as & when required.

Responsible for the ability to control all Mechanical estimating aspects for all Frame working agreements with BAA.this includes the design development with the consultants, measure, schedule and interpret services detailed on proposed tender drawings. Ongoing costing procedures until final costs have been agreed with the cost integrator from BAA.Attend internal & external meetings associated with tender production, including hand over meetings with Contracting Personnel. This position was for a Framework agreement at Heathrow & Gatwick, where price up work for T5 & Terminal 3 at Heathrow & various other works at Gatwick. Also got involved in cost planning for new projects as required.
