Detailed design and Server customization for the Lloyds estate of p570 Websphere, Oracle RAC and other application servers.

April 2008 – Mar 2009
AIX Engineer, AkzoNobel/ICI Integration, Atos Origin, Netherlands
Detailed design and build of a System P infrastructure for the newly merged AkzoNobel/ICI business. The build consists of 3 P595 and 4 P570 Servers hosting around 60 micropartitions for SAP and Oracle. Production partitions are configured as HACMP 5.4 clusters with dedicated SAN Storage and network cards. Development and QA partitions are VIO clients with both SAN and internal scsi storage, using dual VIO Servers for both storage and network. SAN Storage is EMC/Powerpath.

Oct 2007 – April 2008
AIX Specialist, Nestle Globe Project, Nestle Business Services Ltd, Switzerland
Third level AIX Support for the Nestle estate of AIX Power4 and Power5 Servers. The Nestle data centre comprised over 1000 servers running AIX 5.2 and 5.3, HACMP/HADR 5.2 and 5.3, CSM 1.5. The hardware is comprised of P595, P550, P550, P660, ESS and DS8000 storage.

Techical Lead, Out of Region Resilient Data Centre Project, AIX on IBM pSeries Power5 Platform, IBM Global Services
Led the build of a new remote Data Centre in Belgium, comprising P595, P55A, P520 servers using Power5 Virtualization. The project was delivered to tight timescales using scripted build methods. Development, Pre Production and Production environments were required.

AIX Specialist, Strategic Initiatives Project, AIX on IBM pSeries Power5 Platform, IBM Global Services
Built a new Power5 infrastructure in support of a new application rollout based on P550 Servers. The solution comprised 2 data centres with IBM DS8100 storage and PPRC mirroring.
