CV (Curriculum Vitae) / Résumé
Having worked for 9 years in an editorial capacity on major media and public sector websites and intranets, I have a wealth of experience in producing punchy, eye-catching copy for a range of purposes, whether it’s a homepage feature, news story, help guide, departmental newsletter or 25-word review of a website. I have strong proofreading and editing skills and a keen eye for detail, which, admittedly, makes me very pedantic regarding spelling and grammar.
My last role was at the German Embassy in London as a Press Officer / Web Editor. I was responsible for the content and information architecture of the website and other printed materials, including press releases, news stories and other features. I also translated statements, letters and other documents on a variety of subjects, from politics (e.g. Foreign Office statements) to sport (e.g. press releases regarding the 2006 World Cup). I am therefore something of a translation generalist.
