Led and manage Standard Life Group outsourced moves and changes operation to the agreed service levels working with multiple suppliers.

Key management responsibilities were successful day to day delivery of Standard Life’s IT Managed Service managing multiple suppliers e.g. BT, Computacenter, NCR. The Managed Service remit encompassed software and hardware installations, telephony and to manage and lead large programmes of work to support the business e.g. strategic moves, large scale migration of both hardware and software implementation and decommissioning.

Supplier management also involved regular monthly commercial invoicing and quarterly/annual contractual commercial reviews which included negotiating with suppliers and engaging external benchmarking consultants. Defining and provision of management information e.g. SLA’s, KPI’s and OLA’s. Key achievements - > 95% service level on all services from an SLA of 65% within 6 months of taking up this position and successful integration of the Group’s new Healthcare subsidiary acquisition into the Group’s outsourced service operation in 3 months within budget.

Led and managed the resources, projects and services to maximise the availability and performance of production systems and implement technical and process improvements to the ITIL service model across Standard Life Group’s distributed IT operations.

Key management outputs met - ensuring business objectives were successfully met by delivering a robust, reliable, scalable and fully supportable desktop platform, owning and managing the Microsoft and Novell supplier relationships for the Group across core technology platforms, effective training, contribution and development management
