CV (Curriculum Vitae) / Résumé

For me it’s not the size of the business that matters, but the size of the challenge the organisation faces and the opportunity to exceed all expectations, which is why the majority of my roles have been first time in-house positions – from - Director of Communications and Marketing at Breast Cancer Campaign; Global Communications person for the Economist brand, working directly to its then CEO, Helen Alexander; to my Andy Warhol 15 minutes of fame, while PR person at the Women’s Institute, I crisis managed things when the then Prime Minister Tony Blair was slow handclapped off the stage at Wembley Arena, making international and national news for weeks.

I have worked on inspirational media campaigns such as the Times Higher Education Supplement’s Appeal for Children in Afghanistan; running a press office of 30 at the Earth Summit 2002 in South Africa, working with the international media and high-profile names like Prof. Jacqueline McGlade, Director, European Environment Agency; Charles Secrett, Britain’s leading , environmentalist and Vandana Shiva, Ecofeminist.

I have engaged with companies like Debenhams, ASDA, Agent Provocateur to agencies like Abbots Meads Vickers; Media Vest and created media partnerships with The Daily Mail Group; magazines - Good House Keeping, Eve, Red, She and Closer and worked with the BBC Radio and TV, ITV and Channel Four News.

After three years at Breast Cancer Campaign, I decided to start a family and there after decided to take a career break to focus on my new role as a mother. During this period I kept involved in PR by doing some freelance projects. I also added some more strings to my bow and did life coach training and over the last year, I have been running self development workshops. I have now taken steps to set up my own company.
