Responsible for Great Lakes, Central African Republic and Colombia portfolio; programme focus on Governance, Community Driven Reconstruction and Health.
• Responsible for the financial management of sixteen active European grants from major donors, such as DFID and the EU, for multiple projects which were successfully implemented and running to date
• Advised and supervised field based Country Management Teams from the project proposal writing stage to the project closure, ensuring donor compliance and that IRC’s strategic goals and objectives were met

Financial responsibility: up to £100,000 / HR management: 10 staff
Responsible for program activities across two administrative regions in Eastern Guinée; programme focus on Detention, Family Links and Training.
• Monitoring of detention conditions of six prisons and effective lobbying which resulted in several prison rehabilitation projects and improved access to dietary nutrition for detainees
• Successfully managed a large portfolio of unaccompanied children, including reestablishment of family links for more than twenty cases
• Organised and provided several International Humanitarian Law (IHL) training events for the armed forces and provided regular support and training for the Guinean Red Cross Society

Financial responsibility: up to £2,000,000 / HR management: up to 100 staff
Responsible for conducting humanitarian assessments, writing project proposals, supervising projects, implementing project closures/handovers and general financial and HR management; programme focus on Health and Nutrition.
• Preparation and submission of assessment reports and project proposals which resulted in the successful approval and implementation of new projects Sri Lanka and DR Congo
• Effective design and implementation of the project closure of the Pakistan Earthquake Response Project and North Kivu Nutritional Project in DR Congo, including the complete reorientation of programme strategies which were accepted by both the national teams and headquarters in Europe
• Development of food and non-food item distribution guidelines which resulted in the successful organisation of distributions which reached thousands of beneficiaries in various communities throughout Sudan’s Darfur region
• Coordination with UN agencies and other humanitarian organisations for organisation of assessment missions and the joint distribution campaigns in Sudan, DR Congo and Pakistan which resulted in the delivery of aid to beneficiaries who were otherwise isolated

Financial responsibility: £500,000 / HR management: up to 50 staff
Responsible for overseeing project activities, writing project proposals and general financial management; programme focus on Nutrition and Rehabilitation.
• Successful preparation and submission of grant proposals to ECHO and UN agencies for grants up to €500k, which resulted in the opening of two new project sites including one office and two nutritional centres
• Security management for projects in Pakistan and DR Congo including two security evacuations from the main project location without incident
• Supervision of the rehabilitation of six bridges and several springs in DR Congo
• Hiring and training of all the national support staff of the project in Pakistan
