Successful planning and implementation of Microwave and Leased Line solutions for the first consolidation of 3G telecommunication networks in the UK.

* Microwave link planning - whilst ensuring cross network compatibility, efficiency and performance.
* Ensured sufficient bandwidth capacity at each site – to allow consolidation of inter-connecting sites.
* Liaison with BT to ensure accuracy and timely provision of E1 circuits for each transmission solution.

Performed accurate and timely capacity upgrades at each Nokia 3G base station. Working alone but part of a national rollout team to increase network performance. Focal point for any technical issues to be resolved within designated region and also trainer to new starters.

* Liaison with BT and O2 to ensure correct hardware and software configuration at base station.
* Performed hardware swap-outs, i.e. AXU and WSPC cards.
* Applied the capacity upgrade to IUB in liaison with BT and NMC.
* Ensured correct E1 ATM performance post the upgrade.
* Resolved both hardware and software faults at the Nokia base station, if necessary.

Provided system level technical direction and advice as necessary during the rollout of Nokia Flexi 3G base stations.

* Project planning, resource scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting on the project objectives to ensure they are met within schedule and budget limits.
* Assisted the Project Manager in achieving clear visibility of all contract tasks so that they could be progressively measured and evaluated in sufficient time for corrective actions to be taken.

Responsible for the preparation, coordination and timely delivery of communication plans and training to MoD personnel. Each communication plan involved the deployment of TCPIP, DNS, DHCP and Windows OS in a secure network environment. Each plan was delivered accurately, on time and within budget to the MoD customer.

* Liaised with suppliers to determine the quantity and type of each military platform under-going conversion.
* Successfully coordinated all elements involved. E.g., hardware, software, MS Windows user accounts and user polices and applicable documentation.
