In addition to the I.T. Support roll I took over total responsibility for all company logistics requirements. Whether it be arranging lorry loads using our customers preferred contractors or negotiating contracts for our own transport requirements with our logistics partners Coopers of Norwich and Sprint Express. This includes full lorry loads/container loads right down to single pallets and single parcels. These can be regular loads, for example weekly collection from Currys National Returns Centre, to ad-hoc deliveries to individual electronics dealers for single pallets. I Manage timed collections and deliveries at the major distribution centres of our clients where modification is required on all stock held (sometimes 10000 to 15000 items).
Also last year I renegotiated our general parcel delivery contracts with Parcel Force and TNT as our preferred delivery partners along with integrating our systems into our customers parcel delivery companies as some have European wide accounts that they like us to use.
This includes designing systems to ensure the correct unit get despatched to the correct customer and integrating our computer system into the carrier software so the consignment numbers are sent to the customer by SMS or Email.

In the IT roll I've overseen the integration of our job control system with JVCs AS400 system and the Denon & Marantz SAP system. Also am assistant to the MD in designing and maintaining our systems and procedures which are audited to IS9001/2008 standard. This include developing reports in Crystal Reports and automated reports in MSAccess databases and Excel to help maintain processes and ensure they are followed.

Also I have covered for Engineering Director while he's away from the office on training courses and on vacation and Manage our relationships with 2 of our major accounts, Panasonic and JVC.

Answering to the Planning Director. Developed modelling software to enable successful planning to reach targets and ensuring they are met.

Also Responsible for computer Network Administration and development of our Gold engineering control software. Through my responsibility for IT I have produced MS Access databases to interface with our Gold software through the SQL Tables that Gold uses, this has enabled Sontec to control the logistics of goods coming to us through our carriers and to make the process of booking a job more efficient.

Responsible for provision of spare parts for Engineers and for research into the future marketing and repair of products. I have achieved our first successful contract for repair of Gas Plasma Televisions. During this time I took on responsibility for developing software to enable Sontec to arrange collection and delivery/install of Plasma televisions through an MS Access database along with monitoring time customer services are on the telephone arranging this, to enable us to invoice the manufacturer for time spent in this area of the business. I have since developed this to interface with out ‘Gold’ engineering software to enable Sontec to send engineers out to do in home repairs.

Co-ordinate the flow of goods in and out of engineering, responsible for the team of 10 receiving, warehousing and despatching goods.
