I have worked as Project Manager and software architect/developer in the financial and IT sectors. One of my strengths is a high technical knowledge and understanding, which often have been used to perform complex analysis and data modelling, sometimes documented with pseudo code.
As Project Manager, I like to interact with the developers, both to know what they are dealing with in terms of technical challenges and to follow the progress. This approach also enables me to discuss solutions, on their terms, on how to implement a specific business rule or certification requirement.
Even while the technical tasks can be very rewarding, I find the planning and steering more interesting. Especially to maintain the overview in projects with many parties involved, all with different interests, and at the same time have a good understanding of the business part of the project.
