I have worked in communications-related roles for the following companies and organisations:

Arts & Entertainment
For Cirque du Soleil, I was responsible for public relations for the brand and shows in Europe including show-promotion, branding and corporate profile and marketing communications.
At Stage Entertainment, I looked after the commercial aspect of touring shows: promoter sales & relations (B&B), international marketing, media & PR, brand, art design, sponsorships & merchandising.

NGOs
I’ve worked with International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), Save the Children UK and Greenpeace International; all high-profile campaigning organisations greatly differing from each other in terms of communication style and targets. My responsibilities included leading all communication activities on a global or European scale, being involved from planning to implementation, including formulating and implementing communication and media strategies, overseeing the editorial content, coordinating complex activities and acting as a spokesperson.

European Politics (EU)
I have worked at the European Parliament as a part of an international team of spokespeople representing Members of European Parliament. I advised senior politicians on media, publicity and campaigning and developed expertise on the EU politics & institutions.

Journalism
I have worked as a journalist, reporter and presenter for Finnish National Broadcasting Company (YLE), BBC World Service, Radio Netherlands International as well as for other Finnish media; I have worked in radio, TV and print covering stories from foreign policy to economics, from culture to sports; I am experienced with various formats and styles from news to documentaries, and from conventional to investigative/experimental.

Academic
I have M.A. in MA Text and Performance from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (R.A.D.A) & King’s College, London and M.A. in Mass Communications & Journalism from the University of Tampere, Finland.
