I am a confident, resourceful and articulate manager, with over 20 year’s operational experience as a fire fighter and fire prevention officer within the field of Structural, Aviation and Airport Fire Fighting & Rescue. My aim is to return to this specialised area of operations, having spent time within the Security & Law Enforcement Sectors.

Race Circuit Safety Director
Silverstone Circuits LtdIn 1999 I transferred to the famous Silverstone Race Circuit as the Circuit Safety Director. This was to enhance my knowledge and experience, both as a manager and rescue operator within another specialist field.
My mainstream duties were: Direct all fire & rescue operations on the race circuit – Manage, instruct, and train race marshals and medical teams – Direct recovery operations of broken down and crashed vehicles – Maintenance of rescue equipment – Drive operate and utilise specialist rescue vehicle & equipment – Advise on incidents involving carbon fibre composites – Responsible for all Health & Safety issues within the race circuit.

SERCO DefenceOn leaving the Royal Air Force I transferred as a civilian contractor working for the Ministry of Defence at two Royal Air Force Stations, as Deputy Senior Fire Officer.
My mainstream duties included: Base Fire Prevention Officer – Senior Fire Training Officer – Fire Crew Commander (VIP Helicopter & Aircraft Operations) – Fire Fighter on-the-job training – Fire Fighter Administration – Driver Training – Fire Equipment Maintenance.
Whilst employed by SERCO I was responsible for the delivery of fire training to a total of 3500 military and civilian support personnel. In order to meet strict guidelines and policy on fire training, I developed and delivered an annual training package, which ensured all staff was trained at least annually.

Royal Air ForceWhilst serving with the Royal Air Force I achieved the rank of Corporal, where I led frontline Fire Crews on active, operational, frontline Airfields. I served at a number of bases within the United Kingdom and abroad.
In 1990 & 1991 I attended the Defence Fire Services Central Training Establishment at Royal Air Force Manston, Kent, on a number of post graduate courses. These courses are listed at the end of this resume under Key Skills & Training.
