Technical assistance in the design and implementation of a UK Department for International Development funded HIV prevention project for injecting drug users in Sverdlovsk, Western Siberia, Russia. Briefing meetings with the stakeholders in Russia, providing them with the academic evidence on the effectiveness of needles exchange schemes and Methadone Maintenance treatment. Organising a 2-weeks field trip for 14 Russian to get them to know the British ways of treating drug users and HIV positive people.
